The postholder will be a key member of a small team responsible for ensuring the effective service delivery of three outsourced contracts for the administration of the Civil Service and Royal Mail Pension Schemes (CSPS and RMSPS).

These are the third and sixth largest pension schemes in the UK, delivering services to approximately two million scheme members. The services are complex, technical and high profile, with regular scrutiny from ministers, senior officials and their respective pension boards.

The CSPS service delivery is a key element of the wider government shared services landscape, and impacts on 350 separate employers across government.

The postholder will be a point of contact within the pension team for any service related aspects of the contract delivery, and will work in collaboration and partnership with contractors’ senior service delivery staff. The postholder will need to build effective, mutually beneficial working relationship s with suppliers and to take a holistic view of the contract and service delivery in supplier discussions.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that the administrators comply with extensive data and information security requirements, including management personal data for highly sensitive employers.
