An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Architect to join an established telecoms organization for an initial 3 Month contract. The role will be based in London but will be remote until the situation changes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, documenting and acting as design authority for the key B2B services and architects. The candidate will have a good understanding of, IPVPN and other Layer 3 technologies, Ethernet VPN and other Layer 2 technologies, SDH, Optical & Wavelength Products, Security, Cloud Services across all Products and supporting major bids in their design.

This role is inside IR35 so please bear this in mind when applying.

Key Skills:

• Able to drive architectural direction, and substantiate balanced recommendations that reflect a broader business perspective in addition to a technology perspective
• The ability to track and identify disruptive technologies and/or approaches that could drive developments in related network architectures
• A good understanding of network economics and able to support unit economic analysis
• Deep technical knowledge in understanding carrier grade IP networks and the systems and networks that underpin them.
• Understanding the importance of stability, scale, network management and provisioning along with network security
• Deep understanding of Ethernet protocols and associated standards
• Good overall knowledge/familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including transmission and IP Voice applications
• Cisco Meraki (devices, Dashboard and APIs)
• xDSL (ADSL, VDSL, G.SHDSL) - particularly interested in the use of these technologies in conjunction with tunnelling technologies (L2TP / LNS) and session authentication (RADIUS)
• Previous Telecoms is a must
• Product concept and development experience - not pre -sales experience
• Lead role - take the product requirements - lead the solution development
• Familiar with project context - leading tech solution - take responsibility and work closely with SMEs
