The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the development and execution of a portfolio of projects and programs for the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the project is completed on time and within budget and act as a liaison between the individuals working on the program and key stakeholders.The focus for this specific opportunity will be mostly on ASIC development. Sensata is continuously co-developing, together with our strategic partners, Next-Gen ASIC’s which are the core element of our various Sensor products. As the projects lead concern the development of ASIC within an overall Sensor Product Program, this Project Management role will be more technical of nature. Relevant experience around electrical engineering / ASIC development is a very significant pre.
General Responsibilities
- Manage ASIC development projects in collaboration with technical groups including design, functional safety, and quality
- Participates in all aspects of assigned programs throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints
- Ensure successful and timely completion of project tasks and requirements in a timely and effective manner
- Monitor deadlines, budgets and activities
- Apply change, risk and resource management
- Resolve projects’ issues
- Assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction and team member performance
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
- Analyzing program risk
- A bachelor or Master’s degree and several years of relevant work-experience; A degree and/or experience in ASIC development is a pre.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Familiar with all phases of IC / ASIC development, qualification and manufacture for automotive functional safety applications
- Project Initiation: specification development, supplier selection, requirements management
- Circuit design and simulation activities including fault injection simulation for functional safety
- Floor planning & layout
- Tape-out verification and design rules checking and release
- Fab processing including general steps, timing, expediting options, and risk mitigation options
- Production test development and execution
- IC packaging including general steps, timing for production and prototyping
- Managing material transfer & delivery logistics, including Customs
- IC validation planning & execution
- Metal edits, FIB & other diagnostic techniques
- AEC-Q100 qualification & PPAP
- FuSa work product development, review & approval process
- Safe launch planning, execution & exit activities
