System Engineer –

Location: Guildford with Hybrid Working

We are currently working with a market leading Cyber defence Company, who are looking to bring on board a System Engineer at a senior level. Our client uses a unique set of solutions and systems to combat the risk of cyber-attacks from the connected world.

The successful System Engineer will have the opportunity to work with a market leading Lawful Intercept (LI) solution for deployment within a CSP’s network. As terrorists and organised crime increases through the use of social media, the data they generate - which is transported by CSPs - is a key element into monitoring this.

Our client requires a Systems Engineer with a strong Linux systems background to aid in the design, test and deployment of their solution into the customers’ networks.

The role of a System Engineer will also include:

  • Customer & project based Systems Engineering.
  • Requirements analysis, evolution and development.
  • Customer liaising and being a technical lead and authority for projects .

We are looking for a System Engineer with:

  • Someone who can investigate, design, deploy and test software and platforms.
  • Experience with designing production systems. Methods of business continuity, disaster proofing, load balancing, data replication/backup and HA.
  • Strong background on the Linux command line and configuration of core Linux system services.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, common protocols, telecommunications networking, OSI model and traffic analysis.
  • Experience with KVM, ESXI and Xen hypervisors

As a System Engineer you can expect:

  • Salary - £49,000-£79,000 depending on experience
