Job ProfileSenior Structural Engineer- Required for my required for our client based near Newton Abbot. The company the Senior Structural Engineer will be working for are working within a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health. This is an exciting opportunity for a near chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join a fast growing company to work on a range of projects within a Multi-Disciplinary Environment.
The Ideal Structural Engineer will be near chartered in MICE or MIStructE and will have at least 4 years post certification experience within a Multi-Disciplinary Environment. This role is both a management and a technical one so the Structural Engineer will be working on hands on design and design coordination from conception through to completion and checking other engineer’ designs.
Senior Structural Engineer Position Overview
- Responsible for managing the design and deliverables on structural engineering schemes
- Managing Engineers and Technicians and reporting to the Director of Engineering
- This role will require checking other engineer’ designs
- Hands on design and design coordination from conception through to completion
- Project Manager for large Framework contracts
- Site inspections and condition surveys
- Undertaking of technical and feasibility studies including organising site investigations
- Ensuring that all projects comply with legal requirements
- Working towards Chartership in MICE or MIStructE
- At least 4 years post certification experience within a technical role
- Experience in negotiation, supervisory and leadership roles
- Ability to perform Structural Design calculations
- Experience of growth and development of a team
- Experience of site inspections and condition surveys
- Previous experience of development and training
