Senior Sous Chef An exciting position has become available for a full-time Senior Sous Chef based in Lymington and New Forest area. The successful candidate will have a passion for producing fresh home cooked food to a high standard in a busy environment, you will be joining an exciting team striving to reach an excellent standard of cooking. You will have excellent communication skills along with the ability to manage and organise yourself and your kitchen effectively and efficiently as well as deputising for the Head Chef on their days off. The position is considered a head chef in waiting and as such you will have a keen eye on achieving (and exceeding) targets and goals of the business. You will join a young, exciting progressive company, that believes in providing excellence in all areas to its customers. Training is given where required, and you will be joining a company with progressive opportunities, they will invest in external courses for the right applicants as well. They believe in promoting from within wherever possible. You will be part of a friendly team working together to achieve a common goal. Role Requirements Must have a passion and love for food Excellent communication skills Excellent management and organizational skills Works well under pressure Good attention to detail Strives to exceed targets and goals Able to cover Head Chef on days off and holidays Own transport (no live in available) Role Responsibilities To assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of the menu. To help maintain, clean and use where necessary all kitchen equipment To maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen areas in line with current EHO standards. To help create and operate an efficient rota of kitchen staff and cover To apply the necessary practises and procedures to maintain food safety protocols. To be responsible for the running of the kitchen, its staff and facilities in the absence of the HeadDeadline: 21-06-2024
