An International AI company within a cutting-edge space is hiring a Senior Python Engineer to join their expanding London-based team. This company is working on a lot of interesting projects all around the world, such as computer vision and advanced facial recognition / CCTV technology. You will be building software / AI solutions for business problems. They are seeking a motivated Senior Python Software Engineer, looking for fast progression inside a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere.

Their massive customer base and consistent performance have led to a strong international turnover as a result. They are looking for a strong applicant to work closely on backend software amongst a technically proficient team within a fast-paced, expansive environment.

THE ROLE:
As a Senior Python Engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

  • Design, development and upkeep of required software using Python
  • Design, development and upkeep of essential microservices
  • Design, development and upkeep of APIs
  • Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
  • Managing cloud tech, working with Apache Kafka
  • Working within a self-organizing and cross-functional Agile team
  • Applying TDD and BDD approaches to ensure that quality is baked into the implementation
  • Mentoring junior software engineers

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

A successful Senior Python Engineer for this role will have:

  • Commercial experience as a Python Backend Software Engineer
  • Commercial experience working with APIs
  • Experience converting monoliths into microservices
  • In-depth experience of AWS and cloud technologies
  • Experience with Apache Kafka
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with C++
  • Experience with Golang
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
  • Experience mentoring junior team members

THE BENEFITS:
The salary range for this role is £90,000 - £95,000 alongside pension contributions and is hybrid
