Description

What you’ll be focused on:

The Senior Developer role holds responsibility for working closely as part of a team of software developers in the creation of high-quality software applications within an Agile environment and keeping up to date with the latest relevant technological innovations

In addition, this role will be responsible for assisting the Tech & Product Leadership team in building and promoting a positive working environment for the team as well as acting as a technical resource for team members.

What it is…
  • A chance to make a real impact as part of global tech team where you will be able to fail fast and develop new solutions
  • Flexible working environment that enables you to have a voice, be bold in your ideas and enjoy the journey – it’s all about having fun in what you do as well!
  • Working on solutions that quite literally saves lives every single day

What it isn’t…
  • A role where you will be siloed into one element of how we approach tech and innovation
  • A position where you don’t have the ability to influence your stakeholders. We are all ears for new ideas so let’s hear them!

What that means day to day

A typical day will see you actively contributing towards development of tools, services, and platforms, collaborating with teams across the business to identify improvements.

You’ll work closely with key stakeholders in the collection and documentation of user requirements and the development of user stories, using these to plan, write, test and maintain code for web, mobile and desktop business applications in accordance with established standards in an Agile environment.

In addition, you’ll provide third-level support to business users.

What you’ll need to be successful

The business is high growth and agile, so we are looking for someone who can operate at pace and have a growth mindset to enable our business to scale and innovate.

You will be well versed with some of the following development platforms: ASP.NET, C#, HTML/CSS, Javascript and EntityFramework and be comfortable working with data platforms such as MSSQL.

You’ll be used to working as a member of an Agile Scrum team and have the ability to adapt and learn to use new languages/platforms.

What you’ll get in return

We’ve always got something going on, from charity events and competitions to recognition events and awards and we encourage our teams to get involved and have fun along the way.
