Happy Days Nursery, Falmouth is seeking a Senior Supervisor to join their team!

Happy Days is an established provider of nursery childcare in the South West. We provide a calm and innovative environment; designed using neutral colours to promote concentration and provide a strong learning environment that is not over stimulating and distracting.

  • Do you have a full and relevant Early Years NVQ level 3 qualification or above (as defined by the DfE)?

A little bit about the role...
  • To lead, manage and motivate the team and room
  • Implement and monitor policies, procedures and quality in the room
  • Responsible for the safety, safeguarding and welfare of room children and colleagues
  • To build quality primary relationships with parents and work effectively with external agencies
  • To coach and enable colleagues in order for the team to be empowered, develop and progress
  • To ensure that a broad and stimulating curriculum is consistently delivered for all children
What skills & experience do you need...
  • NVQ Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
  • Level 2 Safeguarding is an advantage
  • Good relationship building skills - an ability to establish effective relationships internally, with parents and external agencies
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience including conducting supervisions, inductions and development plans
  • Evident enthusiasmfor working with children
  • Excellent organisational skills; able to plan resources and own/others work
  • Excellent written skills with an ability to complete required paperwork to required standards
  • Excellent understanding of policies and practices within a childcare setting and ability to confidently communicate and apply these
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS –able to practically apply it to activities and routines
  • Has a continuous learning ethos and dedication to maintaining and improving high standards
  • Self-motivated to develop your own skills, with a willingness to ‘step-up’ to support the Deputy Manager, as and when required
  • A positive role model with ability to mentor and coach others in best practice
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and an ability to think on their feet
