Job Description


This dual role which will need to elevate the visibility of the nominated executives through a clearly articulated plan that brings to the fore IFS strategy, values and its focus on customers and delivering value in order. Working closely with one for the 4 regions, use expertise, leadership and creativity to help drive awareness of the IFS brand in our markets and beyond and bring consistency into the IFS Public Relations function.

The main focus areas for this role are:

  • Create a clear plan for each nominated executive, work with the Executive Communication PR agency to put into motion a high touch, measured and clear profiling, thought leadership and speaker plan. Collaborate and closely align with the corporate communication team on themes and activities that tie into the Corporate communication play book.
  • Become the point of contact for one key region to support the team in aligning to Global plans, leverage existing and new resources and bring best practices and consistency to the regional PR effort.
  • Acting as the focal point for the planning, delivery and reporting against both internal and external executive communications, key to this role is a firm understanding of the PR and Corporate Communications disciplines as well as macro-economic and business themes.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

  • To steer and govern the executive communications program for key C-suite executive(s)
  • To exploit all components of an executive communications program including media relations, awards, speaker opportunities, social media, strategic introductions and other influencer networks
  • To integrate plans and activities with the corporate communications function team to ensure alignment in themes and topics to the Corporate Communication Play book.
  • To leverage the broader PR team and the IFS’s global network of PR agencies to build visibility.
  • To set targets and benchmarks for success and report against them at regular intervals
  • To quickly gain an understanding of the tone of nominated Execs, in order to write or oversee freelance writing of content for these clients
  • All aspects of executive preparation in advance of media interviews and events
  • Identify differentiated thought leadership topics and develop a detailed understanding of executive tone of voice and communication preferences
  • To act as a key point of contact for Global Corporate communication for one of the 4 strategic regions to create visibility, share best practices and build consistency in messaging and execution.

Qualifications


Essential:

  • Extensive proven experience (min. 5 years) in PR or corporate communications (software / technology strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience in writing for and/or profiling C-suite executives, including CEOs

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree level in a communications-related subject, or in functional business finance role (or equivalent training/work experience)
  • Detailed operating knowledge of key social media platforms
  • Experience in managing an agency; building plans and measuring success
