The Shore Group have partnered with a renowned Main Contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their projects covering the West Midlands & North.
This is an unmissable opportunity to work on a prestigious sporting Head Quarters as the lead Quantity Surveyor. As part of their expert team, you will have the responsibility of carrying the project from beginning to end while delivering a high standard service.
The project is highly complex and worth £40 Million +. You will be expected to efficiently assess, report and advise while developing opportunities and eliminating risks.
The Following Experience Is Required
- You are an experienced QS who has worked previously as the sole /main QS for a major project (£30 Million +)
- You have experience working as a QS for a main contractor for projects which include: Student Accommodation, Stadiums/Leisure, Commercial, Mixed-Residential, Schools and Hospitals
- You will need a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (a degree or equivalent)
- All responsibilities carried out as a QS must meet SHE procedures
- Contribute significantly to the project which will include the overall scope and design
- Work consistently at a high standard to make certain that opportunities are increased, and risks are avoided
- Act as a key role contributing to the procurement strategy and seek out efficient procurement routes for supply chain
- Create effective cost control management for prelims, subcontract and at client level including variation management and main contract obligations
- Provide high standard CVRs, external and internal cash flow forecasts for the project
- Implement commercial management procedures standard procedures for everyday applications for payment, procurement, cost reports, audit trails, site activity records etc
- You must be able to lead comprehensive and informative risk and opportunity reviews as well as managing risk and creating risk management strategies
- Produce and issue payment notices
- Direct a team of experts
- Prepare strategies to support /defend a claim
