The role

As a Quality Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We are a leading design consultancy providing naval architecture, marine system engineering, electrical engineering, design modelling and project support services to the marine and defence markets.

Day to day, you’ll support the Principal Quality Engineer in ensuring the Nuclear Business Unit (NBU) integrated audit/inspection programme is managed on a day-to-day basis.

Your accountabilities will include:
  • To ensure audit/inspection/ NCR actions are closed out in a timely manner
  • To provide support to the internal and supplier audit/inspection programmes as Lead AuditorTo ensure that audit/inspection reports are available demonstrating the performance of the business management system.
  • Provision of independent advice and guidance to all functions within the Nuclear Business Unit (NBU) regarding adherence to regulatory requirements and implementation of best practice.
  • To ensure that the processes required for the business management system is established, implemented, and maintained to deliver the allocated projects.

Essential experience of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:
  • ISO Standards 9001 (essential)
  • In-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of Quality Assurance (essential)
  • Internal auditor qualification (essential)
  • Qualified to a recognised trade standard and a relevant academic level (HNC/SVQ Level 3).
  • Affiliation to the Chartered Quality Institute

This role full time, 37 hours per week, based at Rosyth.

Qualifications for the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:
  • Lead auditor/internal auditor qualification (essential)
  • Qualified to a recognised trade standard and a relevant academic level (HNC/SVQ Level 3).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
