Work Location: Elizabeth II Court, Winchester (Role is currently to be performed remotely due to Covid measures)
Hours per week: 37

We have an exciting opportunity within the IT Project and Programmes teamfor a Senior IT Project Managerto lead on the delivery of critical projects supporting the council’s transformation agenda. You will be joining a digitally progressive organisation where you will have the chance to add considerable value as we seek to improve front line services through technological advancement.

This is an excellent role for an individual with experience of working on infrastructure and network projects, delivering solutions to a variety of customers. Experience of working on large telecommunication projects would be an advantage.

You will be working with multidisciplinary teams across a range of projects to transform the way we deliver our services to Hampshire Residents, so you will need to have strong stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to build and maintain trust and confidence. As an excellent communicator, you will demonstrate control of the project delivery through managing project tolerances, utilising project standards and tools to ensure clear governance. You will drive high performance within your project team, successfully managing risk and issues, and maintaining overall control of the project.

Known for your excellent communication skills, you will be comfortable speaking to both technical and business colleagues and able to understand and interpret complex IT issues for the relevant audience.
