AXA Health is embarking on its most radical and ambitious change programme in the history of its Healthcare business. Driven by a changing UK health landscape, the growth in the (preventative) Wellbeing sector, and the need for radical simplification, we have the bold ambition to become one of the leading digital service providers in our category. Our mission is to ‘empower people to be the best version of themselves’ with a wide range of new, market leading, app-based wellbeing and integrated medical (insurance) services. Underneath the surface of our transformation, we want to offer an efficient yet empathetic service through intuitive customer-led navigation, ensuring a personalised offering where our customers want and need it most. We’re searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join us who can help us make this happen by managing the end to end project lifecycle, defining and leading the delivery of project outcomes and realising the expected benefits. This is so much more than a transformation role. It combines the challenge of both high quality technical delivery and a cultural organisational shift, helping both our employees and members experience new ways of doing things, and you will influence the success of it.

Please note this role is a 18 months fixed term contract.

What you will be doing: • Drive the preparation and approval for the project business case, as well as develop and maintain the plan for your area of responsibility • Drive the delivery plan, and develop and implement effective governance framework and production of relevant artefacts in line with corporate governance requirements • Define and establish the project team, securing appropriate resources and managing performance through matrix management including effective resource planning • Identify and proactively manage project stakeholders, as well as effectively managing the project’s budget • Manage any risks or issues appropriately, keeping all relevant parties abreast of updates and developments in a timely manner

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer

AXA is proud to support the needs of our employees and as such understands everyone has individual work and home life responsibilities. We are therefore happy to discuss flexible working arrangements for this role, should this be a requirement for you.

• Proven track record of large-scale, complex project management delivery, ideally within retail, banking or telecommunications • Accreditation in recognised project and programme management methodologies including Agile, with a firm focus on value throughout the project journey • Experience of managing stakeholders at a variety of levels, including the ability to influence effectively and challenge the status quo • Experience of operating successfully in an environment with ambiguity, navigating and managing issues and risks as appropriate, and resolving conflict as required • Strong change leadership skills including culture change techniques and developing the vision and case for change • Confident working to own initiative and making complex project decisions independently as needed

As you would expect from a global insurer leader, our reward package is a global beater. Here is a small selection of our current benefits:

  • Annual Salary up to £40,000
  • Bonus Scheme linked to yours and the company’s performance
  • Pension scheme with maximum employer contribution of 12%
  • 28 days annual leave
  • Life Cover at 10 x annual salary
  • Flexible benefit options including pension and life cover flexing, holiday purchase, childcare vouchers, health, dental and critical illness plans and bikes4work.
  • Discount on AXA Insurance products, including insurance, breakdown cover & healthcare
  • Interest free season ticket loan scheme
  • 3 volunteering/charity days

With a presence in over 60 countries, and 165,000 employees serving the needs of 107 million customers, AXA is big.

But never too big to care for every single person who works here. So when you join us, we promise to put our collective might behind you and your career.

You’ll work in an open and supportive environment where you’ll be developed, challenged and encouraged to move around to achieve even bigger and better things – nationally and internationally. You’ll learn directly from senior leaders, from the best in our business. And you’ll enjoy real responsibility, really early on.

Every large company today talks about supporting diversity and inclusion. But at AXA UK, these values form an integral part of everything we do. For us, it’s about bringing together the best talent, helping people to realise their full potential by being 100% themselves at work and delivering outstanding service to everyone – regardless of difference.

AXA Health is the UK healthcare specialist for the AXA Group.

Whatever our customers’ health goals, we help them get there. That could be getting someone physio for an injury that’s holding them back, or finding them the right specialist to take their treatment forward.

Our team are experts in their fields: from experienced cancer nurses to pioneering data analysts; from our highly respected customer service team to our wide-ranging in-house team of clinicians. We all work together to be the best we can be.
