Education/Training/Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to Masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.Additional management qualification or specialist qualification at post graduate level or significant leadership experience at post graduate level in specialist area.Programme Management qualificationMembership of a relevant professional body.Evidence of continuing professional development. Desirable criteria A higher degree (PhD) in a relevant field or demonstration of equivalent knowledge/ experience Knowledge and Experience Essential criteria Substantial experience working at a senior level involving scientific/research /evaluation/data analysis.Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of evaluation frameworks in health.Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of robust mixed methods evaluation (qualitative and quantitative methods).Experience of operating at a senior level in a complex and large scale delivery programme.An understanding of NHS organisational structures, cultures and relationships between different services and NHS organisations.Knowledge and experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency partnership working with a range of stakeholdersExperience of managing change and transition. Desirable criteria Experience of working in and/or with primary care.Membership and experience of working on relevant national committees/groups.Experience of quality improvement and its benefits Skills / Abilities Essential criteria Advanced IT skills including use of Microsoft Office - specifically ExcelHigh levels of written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage complex negotiations with independent providersAble to make a connection between their work and the benefit to patients and the publicAbility to demonstrate a high level of expertise in providing senior leadership.High level analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present in a clear concise manner.Ability to analyse numerical and written data, assess verbal, written, numerical and draw appropriate conclusions.Ability to develop, maintain and monitor information systems to support innovation initiatives Interpersonal Skills Essential criteria Highly developed communication skills with the ability to communicate on highly complex matters and difficult situationsAbility to provide and present highly complex, sensitive and/or contentious information to large groups, responding openly to questions to ensure full understanding and engagement in a hostile or antagonistic environment.Works well with others, is positive and helpful, listens, involves, respects and learns from the contribution of others.Ability to manage self and time in contributing to and co-ordinating multiple active work streams Ability to be flexible beyond role, minimise silos between work streams, individual working and genuine commitment to Equality, diversity and inclusion Essential criteria Commitment to equality of opportunity, focussed on removing barriers to full participation.Understands the importance of diversity and inclusion in delivering our role in the health and care system
