Are you looking for a new, exciting challenge? Would you like the opportunity to push forward the improvement on the Mental Health agenda? This is an excellent opportunity to join the South East Mental Health Clinical Delivery Team.

The Mental Health Clinical Delivery team in the South East Region work across the 6 Integrated Care Systems to support delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan priority clinical programmes for Mental Health & Dementia across children and young people’s and adult services.

An opportunity has arisen for an individual with significant experience within CYP mental health services, which would ideally suit a deputy director of children services in a Local Authority or a well-established lead in children and young people services who is after gaining experience in the NHS. The post holder will provide local authority expertise, with a focus on delivery of the National CYP Mental Health Programme across the South East region. The post holder will also take the lead on a number of complex programmes of work involving multi-agency partners, internal and external stakeholders in order to continue with the delivery and development of children and young people’s mental health services and respond to the growing needs created by the pandemic.

The post holder will be part of a dynamic team and is also expected to provide a significant contribution to the expected transformation of community mental health services. This post is offered initially on a secondment basis, however, there is scope for it to be made permanent.

As a senior member of the team, the post holder will also be expected to have a wide understanding of the overall Long Term Plan for mental health and business working of the team in order to deputise for the Deputy Director as required.

This role is being advertised as a fixed term contract (12 months) due to funding.

This role is being advertised as 0.8 however will be offered as a full time position.
