We’re looking for a person within our Global Dangerous Goods Compliance Team to join us here at QVC based in the United Kingdom, Germany or Italy. This is an important position at QVC – a business that is changing the way the World shops!

Senior Program Manager, Dangerous Goods(m/w/d), international (QI)

Full – time, permanent contract

You will work with the QVC International market-based teams and with the Global Dangerous Goods Compliance team to define program strategy, requirements, and manage projects to completion. You will also manage the operational execution of the program, coordinating internal resources, leading cross functional teams, and ensuring program stakeholders are fulfilling their responsibilities by meeting program requirements. In this role you will manage the completion of all program/project deliverables within allotted timelines, allocated resources, and maintain a regular communication cadence of providing program/project status updates, and produce well-written communications, such as reports and emails that convey complex information clearly and convincingly. In addition, you will implement risk-based processes that are not only measurable but also sustainable in the long term.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing a dangerous goods program and/or designing and implementing large complex compliance initiatives
  • Experience in understanding and applying dangerous goods regulations – ADR, IATA, IMO, and Postal/Mail systems
  • Ability to define and translate business needs and requirements into defined program roadmaps, strategies, and processes through collaboration with various internal stakeholders (technology, business management/owners, etc.)
  • Must have a strong dangerous goods technical aptitude with an ability to apply program requirements within newly created and established business processes
  • Understand the broader effect of program changes and can adjust strategies accordingly
  • Define and own measuring, analysing, and reporting key performance indicator that inform the success of relevant programs and initiatives
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective and persuasive presentations and written communications
  • Must have a strong focus on continuous improvement
  • Ensure diverse cultural/gender behaviors are valued, and the experiences of the global team are leveraged

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) certification – current or ability to obtain
  • Dangerous goods certification (ADR/IATA/IMO) – current or ability to obtain
  • Advanced Excel skills required; SAP Business Objects, Advanced Query Tool, MicroStrategy, and Tableau preferred
  • You are a resident within Germany, Italy or UK and able to travel to our different locations from time to time. Preferred close to one of our facilities
