Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people’s lives? Are you looking to develop your fundraising experience with a sector leading team? If the answer is yes than our Senior Philanthropy Manager, Yorkshire and North East role could be for you.

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our Fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us as a Senior Philanthropy Manager covering the Yorkshire and North East region, and get more people involved in change that means everything.

The Philanthropy Individuals team is part of the NSPCC’s Major Donors department which itself sits within the Income Generation Directorate. We focus upon high level, individual donors and are responsible for securing major gifts ranging from four to seven figures+.

Our success is founded upon building high quality and enduring relationships between the NSPCC and those with the capacity to make transformational gifts.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager not only supports current donors, but creates and drives strategies to generate new and significant donations. Additionally, the role works closely across the region with various disciplines of fundraising and service delivery, to ensure a collaborative and colligate approach to income generation in order to maximise opportunities for all.

We have a strong delivery presence across the region with service centre Hub in Leeds as well as a Childline base from which our activity is delivered and co-ordinated.

You’ll soon be a familiar face amongst our service delivery management teams, ensuring you’re fully immersed in the issues and able to inspire your team to deliver against targets.

This role will focus purely on supporting existing donors but a particular focus on identifying and securing new supporters. If a sustainable income pipeline is established, we will consider additional investment in Philanthropy manager roles to support further growth, in which case, this role will take on line-management responsibilities.

You’ll need to bring the very best of your fundraising experience and exceeding financial targets to ensure we can continue growing our income, and our talent.

With a new and ambitious 10-year organisational strategy, this is a hugely exciting time to join us. With our current incredible donor base, we need to bring more high-net-worth supporters along for the journey in making our society a safer place for children to grow, thrive and be happy. We need to surround ourselves with people of influence who have the networks to make real change. We believe that everyone has a part to play in ending child abuse, come and play your part!

This is a real opportunity to make a difference to children’s lives, but we also like to reward people by offering a great working environment, being part of a friendly and supportive team, and offering stimulating and challenging work, with plenty of development opportunities. We offer a variety of rewards and benefits including: generous annual leave, employee benefits and assistance programme, pension and life assurance schemes.

So, join us at this exciting time and you’ll become part of an expanding team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring the best out in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives. We want to ensure roles are accessible and inclusive of everyone, which is why the NSPCC offers a high degree of flexibility around ways of working.
