To lead, manage and develop manufacturing teams across a 24-hour operation, ensuring that the shift runs safely, efficiently and effectively, driving a continuous improvement environment to maximise productivity and quality, be fully committed to customers & Audit exposure. Also take full site lead in the absence of his reportable manager.

Health, Safety and Environment - ensures plant and people conform to HSE legislation, policies and standards across a 24-hour operation. Takes a proactive approach to the reduction of accidents, risks and hazards at site

A "report all accident" environment leading to an accident rate reduction

Positive near miss trend and close out

Risk assessments reviewed and up to date

HSE paperwork compliance

FSQ - Ensure all products released for sale meet food safety and quality standards, and the shift always remains compliant through effective traceability and document completion / control

Cost -Effectively manage all controllable costs on all lines, from labour to raw materials, packaging and waste

People - recruit, lead, motivate, train and develop the Manufacturing team to best deliver results across the Business Pillars consistently across the 24-hour operation

Continuous Improvement - Create a CI culture within all Manufacturing Teams, to support and proactively look for opportunities to positively impact the Business Pillars

Standards - setting and maintaining Company food hygiene standards, through adherence to personal hygiene within all Manufacturing Teams, through to constant application of good GMP standards

Performance - consistently driving plant performance on all lines in the Department across the 24-hour operation, from efficiency to waste management

Results visible to the teams supported by regular communication

Project delivery based on accurate MIMO data.

Have a full and active role in how we deliver Trials and Customer processes in any newness coming to site.

Additional Knowledge / Skills

Ability to coach and lead, as well as manage

Ability to thinking strategically beyond the "day job"

Ability to engage Direct Reports, as well as train and develop

Open, honest, and respectful relationships with all colleagues.

Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision

PC literate (MS Office, SAP)

Ability to work as part of a wider Manufacturing team, including Raw Materials.

Ability to manage under performance within the management teams.

Ability to work with a set of numbers and able to raise these standards
