US listed global manufacturing business is looking for a Senior Counsel EMEA to join on an initial 12 month FTC basis commencing by late November. This position is reporting to the Associate General Counsel working in a small team from their EMEA HQ in Surrey, easily accessible from central London from Waterloo.

With a broad remit taking a lead role in managing EMEA legal matters you will be responsible for:

  • drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements including procurement and supplier contracts
  • advising on GDPR and privacy matters for the region, liaising closely with US counterparts
  • compliance and risk management, advising on export controls, sanctions, AML etc and process improvements
  • deputising for the Associate General Counsel when required
  • instructing external counsel
  • working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business

You will be 8+ years PQE as a guide with experience gained in-house preferably in the supply chain, manufacturing and logistics industry. You will have a strong technical and working knowledge of GDPR and compliance matters coupled with a practical and pragmatic approach.
