The Exchange Platform Tribe is the most mature in the Sports and Platforms department within Engineering. The team’s mission is to preserve, maintain and enhance the flagship product in the brand – The Exchange. They work in a highly adaptive environment with a current focus on enhancing their Cash Out product to improve its availability and offering, as well as streamlining and hardening their products to support the increasing expanse of products the group is offering. What You’ll Do

• Follow a six-week onboarding programme teaching about the domain and technology

• Design and develop highly available, resilient, and distributed backend services

• Track performance and availability of our products to continuously improve our software

• Trace customers’ behaviours and use cases to offer the best experience possible

• Evangelise code quality and best practices, CD, and automation within an Agile approach

• Take control of your personal growth within a supportive environment, guided by your peers

Technology Used in The Department

• Java to power our applications with the Spring Framework, and Kafka for our messaging

• Oracle DB and MySQL DB to persist our data

• Linux as the main platform of choice on our AWS public and I2 private cloud

• Jenkins and Maven to create deployments, with Go to link Continuous Delivery (CD)

• Ansible to automate app deployment augmented by Python / Bash for scripts

• Splunk and Sensu for monitoring and alerting
