Job summary
As the Unit Physical Training Instructor, this role consists of managing, planning and delivering a structured physical training schedule to the Military Personnel (staff and students) at the DATR in-line with MOD Guidelines as well as managing the gym facilities and equipment.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
Managing and delivering all physical training at the DATR. This includes conducting Single Service Fitness Tests as well as planning and delivering Unit Level Adventurous Training and Unit Physical Training sessions ensuring staff and students meet the mandated fitness requirements.

Person specification
1. Conduct training needs analysis with regards to all matters physical training and report at the monthly Unit Health and Well-being meeting.
2. Carry out risk assessments of all physical training activities, facilities and equipment.
3. Develop a training programme to ensure compliance with annual physical training targets.
4. Identify, encourage and develop potential assistant instructors for All Arms PTIs (AAPTI) and sports courses.
5. Liaise with the logistics department with reference to equipment and maintenance of the gymnasium complex.
