CMA Recruitment Group is currently representing a growing client within the technology space, to support them on the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant.

The Senior Financial Accountant will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, to support on management of the company accounts and supervision of a small accounts team.

What will the role involve?
  • Managing the accounting team, with a focus to developing staff;
  • Assisting with the month end process;
  • Verification and posting of journal entries across the group;
  • Reviewing tax workings prior to submission;
  • Reviewing payroll workings to ensure accuracy;
  • Reviewing month, quarter and year end work papers;
  • Checking and validating monthly, quarterly and YTD variance analysis to provide detailed insights on financial performance to senior management;
  • Analysing trends in financial results and providing reasoning behind this to aid decision making;
  • Being a key contact during the audit process to ensure compliance with both UK and US reporting.
Suitable Candidate
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a management role;
  • Previous experience of working to US and UK GAAP beneficial;
  • Experience of Xero preferred but not essential.
