We are continuing to integrate our Equatex business and upgrade clients to a new software platform alongside the transition of business functions to our target operating model. All of this whilst navigating the challenges of Brexit.

Whilst this role can be performed remotely, there will be an expectation of fairly regular travel to our Bristol headquarters.

A role you will love

The Senior Finance Business Partner role is focussed on supporting growth and optimising efficiency. The role will specifically be supporting functional directors and senior management team including the EMEA Operations Director and Global Product Director and involve business performance analysis and recommendations - operational efficiency, investment appraisal and synergy realisation.

This role is required to gather a range of data from multiple sources, perform complex data manipulation and provide analysis of findings to stakeholders throughout the business. The individual should be a key point of contact for EMEA management in relation to business performance and financial planning.

Some other key responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and make recommendations on investment and growth opportunities
  • Responsible for highlighting sensitivities & risks and delivering timely, accurate and granular reporting and commentary of performance, linking business drivers to actual spend and forecast
  • Collaborate with the Functional heads to determine their financial information needs and produce efficient solutions to meet these needs (e.g. reporting of cost reductions, headcount tracking, KPIs etc.) and educate and support the Functions as appropriate
  • Cyclical deliverables such as annual budget, monthly reporting and quarterly forecasts
  • Liaise with the Accounting team to ensure the management accounts accurately reflect the performance of the Functions
  • Reconcile data, identify root causes for discrepancies and make recommendations for change
  • Provide data and reports for a range of compliance, risk and audit requirements
  • Provide input into key accounting and judgement areas as required

What will you bring to the role?

You will be a qualified finance professional ideally with experience of business partnering role within a commercial environment.

You will have a blend of technical expertise and communication skills that will enable you to partner with senior executives across our Plans business. An inquisitive, analytical and logical thinker you will have experience in data manipulation and be adapt at presenting to different audiences.

Some other key skills that you’ll bring

  • Demonstrable knowledge of corporate business context with commercial and business acumen
  • Experience of using financial systems to support business decision making (budgeting, forecasting & modelling)
  • Sound knowledge of applicable regulation
  • Experienced in managing own workload as well as working in a team environment
