Senior Finance Assistant / Assistant Accountant

Adelle Carr are recruiting for a Skelmersdale based client to recruit for a Senior Finance Assistant. Our client is part of a global, multi-million pound business, who are expanding and growing ever year. The UK business is home to just over 30 members of staff and the team are extremely welcoming, although you will part of a 2500 strong global workforce!

We are searching for a candidate with experience in transactional accountancy and in management accounts to join this business on a full time, permanent basis. This role will have exposure across every aspect of the accounts function and will report into the Finance Manager.

This role is a great opportunity for someone to develop their management accountant skills and assist in their career to become a management accountant or finance manager.

Salary & Benefits:
Starting salary of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

Bonus of 1/12th of annual salary - Paid Annually (Eg. If £35k - extra £2917 per annum)

What will be expected of you:
Full transactional accountancy duties including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Banking, General Ledger, Credit Control

Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations

Assist in Month End and Year End

VAT Returns

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Accruals and Pre-payments journals

Cost Analysis

Reconciliation of Aged Debtors & Creditors Reporting.

Checking and verifying expense claims, journals, payments and update of

What we are looking for:
3 years+ experience in Accounts

Degree / Part Qualified / Qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) OR Qualified by Experience

Systems knowledge of SAP - Advantage not essential

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

Manufacturing experience - Advantage not essential
