Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Senior Environmental Advisor – Maternity Cover for a temporary basis of 9 month based in Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s ‘Eight Golden Rules’.
  • ‘Live’ our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
  • Responsible for providing pro – active advice and day-to-day support to the team.
  • Management of operational permits covering offshore production/drilling/well and pipeline maintenance activities.
  • Ensure to provide interpretation of regulations or guidelines as required by projects or operations.
  • Manage audits, inspections, and verification by vendor and regulators.
  • Support petrofac and customers in communication with regulatory bodies relating to environmental queries.
  • Support the petrofac ISO 14001 management system.
  • Be part of the petrofac emergency response team.


Essential Skills:


  • Degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience on offshore or onshore industrial operations.
  • In depth knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g. ISO 14001).
  • Experience of reporting to regulatory bodies particularly department of business, energy and industrial strategy (BEIS) and /or Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
  • Previous experience with EUETS emissions trading scheme.
