Your challenge

This position of is an outstanding opportunity to join a small, high performing multi-discipline design team with a proven track record of developing World leading products. In this role, you will be involved in the full life cycle of electrical/electronic hardware development from the design requirements stage through to product launch.

After training and a tailored learning programme when you join, your responsibilities as a Senior Electronics Engineer at Videojet, will include:
  • Produce innovative, differentiated, right first-time designs to meet both cost targets and timescales.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities for both our products and processes.
  • Work with production and suppliers to qualify new parts and components, to address obsolescence, allocation, extended lead-times, and other design related technical issues.
  • Provide input in design reviews and problem-solving support.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance methodology is observed for both new product designs and products in production.
  • Build and maintain high quality processes and design documentation.
Your experience/skills will include:
  • Honours Degree in Electronics Engineering and/or experience in a comparable role.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronic hardware design ranging from analogue, mixed signal, System on Chip (SOC) and microcontrollers through to switch mode power supply and motor control design.
  • Proficient in schematic design using the Altium design tools.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the different layout techniques required for high speed, EMC, thermal and power distribution.
  • Detailed knowledge of product safety, design for EMC, thermal management, and design for test (DFT).
  • Experience with practical prototyping, assembly, testing techniques and test equipment.
