Our client is now looking for a fast paced, ambitious, E-commerce Marketing Manager who can help them on their growth journey.

About The Role

The ecommerce marketing manager is needed to develop, launch and scale a new B2C ecommerce function within the company, and will lead and manage all aspects of company’s ecommerce.

This includes strategizing, budgeting, planning and executing on a website relaunch, content plans, overseeing the generation of promotional materials and campaigns, monitoring performance analytics, website traffic and product performance, among other things.

Using strong analytical, communication, and business oversight skills on a global scale to solve problems and deliver proactive, insightful analysis, the ecommerce marketing manager will identify and implement creative, transformative approaches to business that drive consumer expectations forward.

As an ecommerce leader, the ideal candidate should be an expert in online sales strategies and the various platforms used to conduct digital sales or conversions on all social media platforms in addition to a website built on shopify.

The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with the CEO, COO and Senior Optimisation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver on an Ecommerce strategy from scratch
  • Create a strategic plan to update website to increase conversion rates and drive up sales from £365k to £10m+ per year
  • Manage new and existing ecommerce platform(s), engaging with technology stakeholders on ecommerce development with the aim of generating new sales
  • Monitor and analyse the overall ecommerce Sales performance, site performance, conversion rates and traffic
  • Be happy to be hands on in delivering strategic leadership
  • Have an opportunity to develop and mentor a team
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth or threats to the business
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure that it aligns with the goals of the campaign
  • Determine which online channels are most cost effective for reaching target audiences
  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy that aligns with business goals
  • Initiate strategic enhancements/upgrades with business systems and workflow that will improve process and efficiency

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of digital sales and the digital procurement model including SEO, PPC, Conversion etc.
  • Ability to both build a function, and work with outsourced service providers where necessary, in order to deliver results
  • Manage milestones, deadlines, and scheduling for multiple simultaneous projects, keeping the team up to date with progress and decisions
  • Communicate to executives and other key stakeholders the strategies driving ecommerce and a vision and roadmap for future growth
  • Serve as subject matter experts for online commerce across the enterprise
  • Ensure effective communication of all ecommerce initiatives, resulting in consistent understanding of the reasons for, direction of, and expected results of each project
  • Ideal candidate would be from a B2C Beauty brand

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • 8-10 years’ work experience, with considerable experience in a global ecommerce experience role
  • Deep understanding of consumer-centric ecommerce site
  • Strong technical expertise managing complex global ecommerce platform initiatives
  • Undergraduate degree in a discipline that teaches quantitative analysis and critical thinking (e.g., business, accounting, marketing, computer science, engineering, law, mathematics)
  • Ability to partner cross functionally with team leaders on various priorities and objectives
  • Ability to influence others and champion projects
  • Passion to drive top line growth through marketing, analytics, and multi-channel leverage
  • Proven ability to innovate, lead, analyse, evaluate, and make recommendations on strategic questions
  • Must be fluent in English

Salary plus Bonus:

  • £50-60K (+very generous bonus if specific targets achieved)

About The Company

Our client is a small but extremely rapidly expanding beauty company selling worldwide on 13 Amazon marketplaces, Walmart, Ebay and their own Shopify website.
