Department: Business Development

Reporting to: Senior Marketing and Communications Manager

Location: Flexible with London presence once per week

Working hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 5.30pm)

The Firm

Capsticks is a leading provider of legal services to the health, social care, housing and emergency services sectors, as well as in the field of professional discipline. The firm has a turnover of c£50m and around 560 staff - including 400 fee earners - across 5 offices nationally. We act for a wide range of long standing clients in both the public and private sector, including all forms of NHS organisations, governmental and regulatory bodies, registered providers, insurers, police, fire and rescue services, independent health and social care providers, charities and GP practices.

The Role

Under the leadership of the Director of Business Development & Marketing (BD & M), the department provides a broad range of support to the wider firm across Business Development, Bids, Marketing, Communications and Events, comprising 13 members in total.

We are currently looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Executive to join our busy Business Development team. This role is a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with exposure to all sectors that the firm works in.

As the Senior Digital Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s website, updating and maintaining all social media accounts, developing and implementing the firm’s email marketing programme and delivering on a range of campaigns, as well as ensuring all digital marketing communications are ’on brand’. You will also have the opportunity to work on key strategic projects and campaigns with others in the team and be the go to advisor to the firm on all things digital.

You will have proven experience in digital marketing and an awareness of the latest digital trends and best practice.

The successful candidate will predominately work closely with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, BD sector leads and Senior CRM Executive as well as with the wider BD team and partners across the business.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Maximise the use of existing digital channels and content
  • Overall responsibility for our email marketing programme including producing and distributing insights, alerts and newsletters along with the Communications Coordinator
  • Measuring the performance of digital marketing activities and campaigns and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Overall responsibility for our segmented email marketing lists and ensuring best practice is followed by the team
  • Overall responsibility for the Capsticks website including content management and ongoing development
  • Full day-to-day management of Capsticks’ social media channels and activity, including owning the content calendar and leading on social media campaigns
  • Work closely with external agencies including website developers and creative agencies
  • Produce regular digital reports that include website, email and social media stats, SEO recommendations, risks and opportunities
  • Creating, managing and monitoring digital marketing campaigns such as PPC or Social media advertising
  • Lead on the production and distribution of podcasts
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of videos for sector campaigns and internal projects
  • Content creation including graphic design projects, predominantly using existing templates
  • Internally promote the use of social media channels and provide training and guidance
  • Guide our digital strategy
  • Drive continued innovation and best practice implementation, regularly sharing your knowledge with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager and wider BD team

Other duties

Any other duties as reasonably requested by either the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager or the Director of BD & M, such as providing support on a wide range of projects and contributing to the general smooth running of the team.

Experience

The successful candidate is likely to be an existing Digital Marketing Executive - and should have:

  • Experience as a Digital Marketing Executive
  • Competency in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • A Confident email marketer, preferably with experience using Vuture
  • Expertise in content creation, such as videos and infographics via Adobe Creative Suite, would be highly advantageous
  • Proven experience in recommending, improving and implementing processes and tools
  • Experience using CMS and Google Analytics
  • Experience working on a CRM to create and maintain marketing lists
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills with an ability to engage at all levels
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritise, work calmly under pressure to tight deadlines, and handle last minute changes
  • Excellent attention to detail, proof reading and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills
