We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Senior Project Manager, working together with colleagues to define, be in charge and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

Our business is growing and an exciting new role has arisen for a motivated and adaptable individual to work within Global Data Services (GDS) as Senior Business Analyst. This is a senior role within GDS and a key member of the Product function.

Global Data Services is a shared service with the mission of providing timely, compliant and cost effective pricing and reference data services globally. The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of requirements analysis, functional specification and configuration of the Group trusted source pricing platform (SPS) to provide an efficient and effective centralised non-real time vendor pricing service, supporting consumers across multiple lines of business including Markets and Security Services (MSS) and Private Banking.

You will also support the Change Book of Work via pro-active investigation and analysis to inform the product roadmap and ensure the GDS pricing service is prepared to cope with changes in market practice and regulation.

Also you will be able to articulate business outcomes objectively using data. You will apply critical thinking using operational and customer data to derive insight for improvement and transformation.

In this role, you will:
  • Understand the pricing needs and business motivations of consumers to evolve the SPS functional roadmap to drive efficiencies and unlock consumer adoptions.
  • Manage the requirements elicitation and problem statement articulation, obtaining sign-off from all necessary stakeholders including acceptance criteria to promote committed interlock across consumers
  • Be responsible for definition and documentation of e2e solution specification. Ensure coherence front to back and across business lines, to achieve positive consumer outcomes and ensuring the trusted source pricing service aligns to target operating model.
  • Partner with the third party supplier’s consultants to ensure common understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria to safeguard effective deliveries and benefits realization.
  • Drive adoption of best practices for all requirements analysis / specification artefacts, supporting configuration record management and release management to ensure transparency, traceability and ongoing maintainability.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to Product / Business Analysts, in addition to hands-on involvement as necessary to meet delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the SPS Test Manager to plan analysis contribution to and/or involvement in testing where required.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Experience working in financial services industry, focus on fund administration.
  • Proven experience in managing operational teams and processes.
  • Proven delivery of change programmes and related benefits.
  • Experience of working in a global team demonstrating strong collaboration.
  • Experience in customer facing roles supporting major clients and lines of business
  • Proven track record of managing operational risk.
  • Experience of managing budgets and staff numbers of similar size.
