This role sits within the HSBC UK Communications team, with responsibility for planning and implementing employee communications to support our UK Commercial Banking (CMB) business.

The role holder will work as part of a collaborative team to support a wide range of communications initiatives across UK CMB and HSBC UK – communications planning, stakeholder advisory, leadership comms, supporting change, creating content and supporting campaigns.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the delivery of an effective employee communications plan for CMB UK and HSBC UK, working closely with Head of Communications CMB UK;
  • Act as communications business partner and trusted adviser to business leaders within UK CMB;
  • Support the planning and delivery of campaigns, including key messages, collateral and measurement;
  • Support organisational change and business transformation through strategic communications support;
  • Make innovative use of internal communications products, techniques and channels;
  • Contribute to development and management of leader and manager communications.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • The ability to write scripts and communication that are used by senior stakeholders is essential;
  • Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues;
  • A proven track record in managing and implementing employee communication plans, translating into solid and practical delivery programmes;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills;
  • A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers;
  • Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively;
  • Excellent interpersonal, strategic planning and project management skills.

The base location for this role is flexible in the UK with some travel to Birmingham once restrictions are lifted
