The business analyst is critical to a project’s success because he or she has an understanding of both the business side and technical side of things. The project manager often has this knowledge but not to the degree the business analyst does. A business analyst can translate technical jargon into something project team members can understand, and they can translate business specific lingo into terms computer programmers can incorporate into their mental framework.

We have a number of strategic projects we are looking for strong Finance / P2P Business Analyst’s / Senior Business Analysts to drive, document and contribute to our clients transformation programmes.

Mission

To effectively elicit Entity and Country processes and practices in outlining the Common Themes, Relevant Pain Points, and Compare/Contrast against the future state vision. Frame (with key stakeholders) the future state vision, and To Be operating model. Provide 6Sigma tools and frameworks for exposing the Root Cause of challenges and barriers. Help influence through appropriate rationale the benefits of standardization (Policies, Practices, Methods, etc…) in helping Sr. Leaders align to the vision, operating as Change Agents in achieving the overall project objectives.

Role/Tasks:

• To understand the current functionality of SAP / ERP’s across Globall site’s & divisions, specifically in Accounts Payable, Finance & P2P
• Lead & facilitate workshops for requirements gathering
• Document the AS IS business / IT Process
• To understand and document the desired state of the system and interfaces that are required.
• To identify the configuration changes needed in SAP to get from the AS IS to the desired future state
• Work with the designated IT consultants to build a plan to get from current to future state.
• Support the sales & commercial team to cost up proposal’s & solutions.
• Support the programme team to develop business case and estimate time & resource needed for future phases.
• Understand potential variants and system set up to allow for the automisation that is planned on specific tasks in the future state
• A strong Business & SAP understanding of payments in order to collaborate with stakeholders to eradicate manual payments.

Position Requirements

• Proven experience as operating as a Business Analyst with significant experience of working on IT and business driven projects with examples of successful delivery, with specific understanding of relevant business processes – Finance, Accounts Payable, P2P
• Evidence of leading business requirements with business leaders
• Elicit Business Requirements using tools and techniques that are System Agnostic
• Process mindset in framing and documenting L0 – L5 processes (current and future state)
• Strong Business Acumen in Finance / Purchasing i.e. Accounts Payable / P2P Product Costing / Tax Implications / Transfer Pricing / Finance etc.
• Ability to assess and propose options, scenarios with Pros/Cons, list Implications, gap analysis and strategies / recommendations.
• Ability to influence positive outcomes in achieving the stated vision through standardization of Processes, Practices, Data, People and Solutions
• Ability to Listen and present compelling rationale as to where alignment is required and why
• Ability to articulate and drive the benefits of alignment, respecting individual differences without caving to Sr. Leadership pushback
• Keen eye for Change Implications in the following areas:

o Contract Manufacturing

o Global Operations and Transfer Pricing

o Product Costing and Cost Rollups

o Centralization of Services

o Tax

o Financial Reporting (True ups vs Operational Mgmt)

Must Have Technical Skills

• SAP (Additional ERP skills advantages)
• Experience & knowledge of Automation tools
• Experience & knowledge of P2P tools
• Experience of process mapping and using applications tools such as VISIO
