Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor

Salary: £38,296 - £46,549

Location: Office - Birmingham - Sites - Greater Midlands

My client, a Midlands Based Construction Consultancy is looking to strengthen and grow their Project and Programme Management team and are seeking applications for the role of Senior Building Surveyor (Small Works - Commercial, corporate & educational schemes).

You will be responsible for supporting the Principal Project Manager in providing a full range of professional services to internal and external clients and other team members in the delivery of professional consultancy services to clients.

The specific role requirements will include:
1. Identify fabric building issues and prepare detailed specification of remedial works. To work in conjunction with the Facilities Management team in accepting handover of reactive work developing into project work.
2. To support the minor works team in delivering planned capital maintenance programmes of works.
3. To interpret condition survey data in facilitating the delivery of the above programmes of work.
4. Delivery of minor projects,
5. Preparation of building specifications, drawings, related contract documents and risk assessments.
6. Assist in the invitation, receipt, and examination of tenders, undertake post contract administration in conjunction with Clerk of Works, liaison with contractors and clients, check and process payments to final account.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable history of building and maintaining client relationships, customer service and relevant experience within the Built Environment, Project Management, and Contract Administration as well as excellent people skills and technical competence.

You will also hold minimum of BTEC (higher) or equivalent in Building Surveying, or an associated building discipline and membership of an appropriate professional institution. Experience of AutoCad is required.
Salary of £38,296 - £46,549, local government pension scheme, minimum of 29 days holiday, plus statutory bank holidays. The additional benefits offered include payment of professional fees and flexible working arrangements including home working.
