Salary: Competitive plus performance bonus, car and pension

When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. It’s why we’re looking for someone who sees the world in a similar way to take up an exciting Senior Bid Project Manager role covering the whole of the UK.

Because of our responsibility when it comes to leading change, resourcing takes every single one of us, and this is how you can play your part. And if you’re a senior bid Manager that works well in a fast-paced environment and wants to join a key Veolia team responsible for delivering growth, this role will suit you perfectly.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day’s work. We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment in small and big ways, and contribute towards our inclusive culture.

What will you be doing?

You will be project managing the tender process from PQQ to final submission - often managing multiple bids simultaneously, and by understanding the client’s needs and requirements as well as the key strategic deliverables on the bid, you will also consider the best options for Veolia in the development of these bids.

Working with the Bid Manager to develop the solution (technical, legal and financial aspects), and in collaboration with regional and support function business divisions you will ensure buy-in and development of robust proposals and ensure that delivery is within timescales.

Researching and writing method statements for tender submission will be an ongoing part of the role, as will managing the preparation of presentations and attending all client meetings, stakeholder engagement and planning consultations (with liaison with Local Authorities (clarification process) as and when required).

What are we looking for?
  • Knowledge of the waste industry is preferred, with an enthusiasm for the environment and the wider waste management field and project management experience with past experience of tendering is key.
  • High standard of written English in order to produce professional tender document, and IT literacy - Adobe Acrobat and Google suite would be particularly useful
  • High level of confidentiality, as you’ll be working with business critical data, with the ability to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong Communication skills to build relationships with clients.
  • Local authority experience/understanding would be highly desirable.
Our promise to you

Here at Veolia, we know that a genuinely good role goes both ways.

So alongside your salary, you’ll get 25 days of holiday alongside an extensive benefits package, which includes our market-leading pension and share scheme, and a range of employee discounts. Also to help you further, we provide mental health and financial support, so you can lean on us whenever you need to.

Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.

Here at Veolia, we’re proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer. We know how important it is to be fully committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive place to work for every one of our colleagues. So no matter their age, gender, gender expression, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, belief, sexuality or veteran status, every applicant who meets the minimum requirements will be considered fully.
