AECOM, a top 5 global architectural practice, are offering a great opportunity to join our rapidly growing architecture team in our multi-disciplinary offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London.

We are looking for individuals with strong project experience of Revit along with a history of design development, understanding building assemblies and producing technical drawings. In particular, we are looking for the successful candidate to be proficient in adapting & developing Revit models into Autodesk Inventor & Assemble programmes. This reflects the requirement for the candidate to have an appreciation of Modern Methods of Construction, DfMA and Digital Delivery strategies and processes.

You will join a busy design team in AECOM. Our exciting and varied workload currently includes infrastructure (rail & aviation), power and energy, industrial, commercial, office and health projects; both new build and refurbishment.

The workload is in the UK and abroad, for major worldwide clients, ranging from large scale projects down to repeat smaller projects within major frameworks.

Job Duties:
+ Preparation, development and coordination of architectural information (drawings, models & schedules)

+ Development of model components & sub-assemblies

+ Preparing technical supporting data for specifications and reports

+ Ensuring compliance to the appropriate company CAD standards and protocol, health & safety, and quality standards

+ Liaison with internal and external client and design teams

+ Mentoring less experienced members of the CAD team.

+ Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.

+ Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.

+ Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

+ Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.

+ Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate to high complexity.

+ Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.

+ Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.

+ Intermediate to advanced understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents.

+ Introduced to the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline.

Minimum Requirements

+ Significant experience in the preparation of architectural models and detailing

+ Familiarity with Building Regulations & Building Standards

+ AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Inventor/Assemble experience

+ A relevant degree or HND/HNC qualification

Preferred Qualifications

+ Ideally the successful candidate will be a Chartered Technician or will be working towards an appropriate Chartered status with membership of a professional institution.
