SEND Specialist Teacher
Location: Tonbridge
Salary: £145 - £250 per day
Start date: Immediately
Contract: Full-time, Long-term until Easter
Are you a dedicated and experienced teacher with expertise in supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly Autism?
Do you have a proven track record in leading interventions, developing Social Emotional Literacy, and implementing strategies to support students with SEND?
GSL Education Kent is seeking an experienced SEND Specialist Teacher to join our team for a reputable school in the Tonbridge area. This long-term cover position is expected to start soon and continue until Easter, offering a full-time commitment.
As a SEND Specialist Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with SEND, specifically Autism, and leading interventions to enhance their learning experience.

Your Responsibilities As a SEND Specialist Teacher Will Include
- Utilizing your expertise to lead interventions and develop strategies to support students with Autism and other SEND requirements.
- Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve academic and personal growth.
- Working closely with the SENCO and other stakeholders to implement and monitor individualized education plans.
- Contributing to the school’s commitment to fostering respect for diversity and inclusion among students.
- Proven experience in supporting students with SEND, particularly Autism.
- Strong organizational abilities, adaptability, and composure in a dynamic classroom setting.
