We have a new opportunity for a Security Service Engineer to join our client’s established Security company based in Gillingham where you will be a valued part of their team. This is a Field-based role within a one hour radius of location.

The ideal candidate for this role will be ambitious and passionate about the industry and hold at least 3 years of proven experience in servicing and maintaining Security systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarm Systems and other associated equipment to the applicable British and European Standards and knowledge also of all relevant BAFE/NSI codes of practice.

Key Requirements:

  • To be conversant with various security products/systems installed and with any significant limitations inherent in such products and systems
  • Proven ability to install, test,commission and service Security systems
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve by elimination or technical recommendations
  • Programming /software to cause and effect level on all mainline products

About you:

  • Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and able to fault find and resolve issues in a logical manner.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and complete service call-out documentation
  • To work creatively and innovatively dealing with core issues for customers.
  • Form good working relationships with colleagues, customers and other
  • Understand and disseminate specifications and technical drawings.
  • To be able to display initiative and to have strong attention to detail.
  • Highly result-orientated with a strong drive to deliver/succeed
  • Good organisational, time management and customer-facing skills.
  • Management of vehicle stock
  • Computer literate.
  • To comply with Health & Safety requirements

Product knowledge:

  • Access Control – Win-pac, Ccure, Sateon, Janus, Paxton
  • Intruder – Galaxy, Scantronic
  • CCTV – Dedicated Micros, Samsung, Honeywell, IP Systems & Analog systems, Smaller & Larger Systems

Hours:

  • 40 hours- Monday- Friday- Occasional weekends on a shift rotation
  • Night Shifts when required

Salary:
