About the Opportunity

Jacobs are seeking a Security Portfolio Manager for the Sizewell C Project. In this role you’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Security and Conventional Safety (HoSCSA). You will be supporting the SZC HoSCSA by monitoring the delivery of contracted work by the Technical Services Organisation security (noting that details are provided by TSO, but will include acceptance of items by SZC). You will support the SZC HoSCSA in any discussions on reprioritisation of tasks, the preparation of new contracts, initial engagement on TSO resource requirements and maintenance of the TSO budget within SZC MTP and Finance processes.

  • Understand the workscope being delivered by TSO and its relevance and priority to the SZC project. Track the delivery by creating SMART KPI’s, create and approve the reporting pack to allow TSO delivery to be monitored
  • Approve changes in delivery to meet TSO resource and priorities. Ensure that the impact of any changes are acceptable to SZC
  • Develop the monthly reporting pack from TSO and ensure that the outputs are presented to SZC Head of Security Identify future TSO work and resource requirements utilising knowledge of the SZC programme to secure SZC’s Security budget, identify risk contingent and opportunities for fallback work, forecast expenditure until the end of 2035
  • Identify and collate SZC security Risks – including project and specific Security risks within the dedicated Security Risk tool
  • Support the HoSCSA with data and reporting to the Regulators (principally ONR)
  • Build a strong relationship with TSO security to develop an open reporting culture so that delivery risks and issues a clearly documented and mitigations can be agreed by all stakeholders
  • Be the Technical Secretairiate for the Nuclear Security Committee, proposing the agenda based upon TSO delivery, risks, issues, ongoing challenges and agreeing these with the SZC Head of Security and TSO Head of Security
  • Identify the regulatory requirements for Nuclear Safeguards and work with HPC to ensure SZC deliver on the items needed to keep SZC compliant (until this is taken by operations)

  • Formal project management qualification - APMP
  • Knowledge and Experience of Nuclear Security
  • Ability to work closely with technical specialists and learn about a diverse set of security issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in reporting and budget control
  • Project Management in a security arena
  • Contract Management
  • This role will require SC clearance
