- Security incidents carry financial costs and can impact our brand and reputation. Proactively preventing, detecting and responding to incidents allows BT to reduce risk to the business and our customers.
- Understanding the customer to facilitate their strategy, by leveraging people, process and technology to deliver the most efficient and effective service possible to the customer.
- Responsible for the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of the service towards the customer during the service initiation/transition phase and during in life operations and will act as a trusted advisor.
You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities
- The SOM is to be the customer advocate for the BT Security products we provide to the customer and assist in the optimisation of those products to meet customer ongoing requirements.
- Attend regular meetings with the customer to review the performance of the security service and will assist in the raising of service credits if required. The meetings will be scheduled on a regular basis depending on the level of graded service model chosen.
- Proactively assist the customer to understand and lead value support activities, and the offenses provided by the Security Service with guidance on tuning, log source selection and configuration to provide continuous improvement cycle.
- The SOM will work with the Application manager / security sales lead to present end of life reports to the customer and provide recommendations on devices that will be going end of life during the contract period.
- As part of the systems vulnerability and patching process, the SOM will provide the customer interaction to ensure the systems remain up to date and secure against the latest threats.
You’ll have the following skills & experience
- Extensive experience and technical awareness across Cyber Security Operations.
- Stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, at a senior and client level.
- Inspiring communicator able to articulate findings to stakeholders and translating complex topics
- Ability to drive and support a business strategy, influencing effective change across an end to end solution. (e.g. Transformation, Use-Case, Initiatives etc)
- Knowledge of current project management strategies
- Individual should have significant experience and understanding of operational factors, contributing to the delivery and end to end effectiveness of a security service.
- Experience of customer facing roles, and knowledge of the business drivers to help operational teams deliver relevant, effective, efficient and quality service to customers
- Experience with using Security solutions either within an operational or delivery environment
