EQUANS are recruiting for a Mobile Security Officerto be based in Grimsby DN31. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of up to £24,083 including shift and weekend allowances subject to knowledge skills and experience, and benefits package.

The role will be part of a rota entailing day, evening and night shifts, which are 12 hour shifts averaging 37½ hours per week and includes a combination of days, nights, weekends, Bank Holidays and Christmas periods.

What will you deliver?

Equans is North East Lincolnshire Council’s long-term delivery delivery partner providing a range of services on their behalf, including planning, highways, property, design and technical services.

Equans are looking to recruit a security operative to their team who is a confident and motivated professional working as part of team of security professionals who deliver a number of security solutions to their clients in North East Lincolnshire.

The applicant will be required to have experience in the security industry and be motivated to deliver excellent security services, in particular within a CCTV control rooms environment and be flexible to participate in security patrols, if required. The role will include the need for the individual to demonstrate the ability to work as an individual or as a member of a team, be flexible in their approach to their works and to seek continuous improvement in their career development.

Responsible to the Security, CCTV & Civil Enforcement Supervisors/Manager and supporting the security service at the North East Lincolnshire (NEL) contract. The post holder will have a good standard of practical knowledge and skills in the security industry and a current relevant SIA license is required.

Whilst the role is primarily undertaking mobile patrols there may be a requirement to undertake CCTV Control and Gatehouse duties when needed to provide support across the service and maintain service delivery.

  • To work as a member of a multi-functional security service on a shift rotation and support all the different elements of the service with the provision of an effective and professional security service
  • The role will focus on the following job requirements:
  • To provide a mobile surveillance patrol to premises using electronic data recording equipment where require
  • To provide the first response to intruder alarm call
  • Respond to emergencies as requested via the Control center
  • To provide written reports on all incidents of crime & disorder
  • Maintain close liaison with the Police and relevant authorities
  • Responsible for the collection of monies from allocated sites
  • Responsible for the welfare and handling of patrol dogs

Who are we looking for?

Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence for CCTV monitoring and or security patrols. Training will be provided on the CCTV systems.

  • A full clean driving license because many jobs involve travel between several sites

Desirable skills:

  • Communications skills that sustains information flows
  • Time management and the ability to handle a complex workload are important.
  • Relevant experience gained via job shadowing, vacation work or placements can be of particular benefit
