Serco are currently recruiting a Security Officer to join our exisiting team at Greenock. The purpose of the role is to provide Security Services for Serco Marine Services across the Greenock facility.

Main Accountabilities:

• 
  Control traffic by operating electric barrier and directing drivers as and when required.
• Issue guest/contractor passes and make sure that each guest/contractor is accompanied by an employee before entering the facility.
• Record all vehicles entering and leaving premises (including Vehicle number plate, driver name and times).
• Record times of all employees entering and leaving premises.
• Patrol premises and secure doors, windows and other entrances.
• Maintain list of everyone on site for emergency purposes.
• Communicate any irregularities to management.
• Protect Company assets
• Monitor Alarm Systems and Security Cameras (includes checking fire alarms and actively participating in drills).
• Respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgment
• Any reasonable ad hoc task as directed by line management
• Provide excellent customer service

What you’ll need to do the role:

• 
  Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedures
• Have excellent time keeping
• Be able to pass an SC Clearance
