• Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours
• Working Days, nights and weekends to cover holidays, sickness, etc

How you will make an impact:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Visit and patrol client sites using company vehicle
• Using Vision mobile reporting system
• Conduct external and internal security patrols
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with correct procedures
• Maintain all logbooks, records and reporting of incidents
• Meet and greet people, issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance
• Deal with lost property
• To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the
  premises
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear
• Report any usage of First Aid equipment and shortfalls in the contents of First Aid boxes
• Notify the Securitas Operations Centre (SOC) in the event of any emergencies and follow the instructions given
• Investigate the cause of all fire alarm activations
• During patrols, switch off unnecessary lights and close windows.
• Prevent and Deter Crime
• Operate radios, pagers, clocking equipment and any other physical security equipment used on site
• Operate customer’s ‘stop and search’ policies when required
• Display an outstanding level of customer service
• Display the highest standard of personal presentation, smartness of uniform to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer

Required Skills

• Must have an SIA licence
• Must have a Driving licence (you will be using a Company vehicle)
• Be able to work days, nights and weekends
• Experience in the Security Industry is required
• Be available as and when called upon to cover shifts, occasionally at short notice
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Have a five year checkable employment history
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
• Be punctual and reliable
• Be smart and presentable in appearance
• No current criminal convictions
• The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Be sensitive towards and show an understanding of the requirements of people with disabilities or special needs
