Security Supervisor (42 hours per week)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Security Supervisor with Security and Leadership experience.

As Security Supervisor you will be responsible for managing all security personnel and the day-to-day operational issues impacting on the contract throughout their shift, providing a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance, measurement and centralised reporting which fully demonstrates the Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

This will be your opportunity to demonstrate your exemplary customer service skills as you engage with customers, clients and visitor, whilst remaining alert to security issues and keeping everyone safe. Delivering the highest levels of customer service which consistently demonstrate Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

Your shifts will be on a 4 on 4 off basis (07:00 to 19:00) with 42 hours guaranteed per week

How you will make an impact:

• Rostering and forward planning reporting officers ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness and holidays
• Maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring coaching, counselling and any investigations are implemented in line with company policy
• Monitoring and managing the appearance and behaviours of all Security personnel
• Encourage staff recognition and staff nominations for awards
• Ensure site documentation is kept up to date
• All incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures
• Planning, development and implementing staff training
• Monitor faults with security related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly
• Be fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems
• Participate in any arranged company training to improve standards of performance
• To be the first point of contact on their shift for security function related queries.

Required Skills

What you will bring as a Security Supervisor:

• Must hold a valid SIA Licence.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or full and part-time education during that period.
• Be confident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written language
• Experience Managing and Leading others
• Strong communication skills
• Competent in MS Word, Excel and E-Mail (Outlook)
• Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion
• Adaptable and responsive in the face of changes in priorities, plans and schedules
• Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills.
