We are currently looking for a Security Guard who can work closely with the Newport City Council.

Role: Security Guard

Location: Telford Depot ,Newport

Pay Rate: £10.38 per hour

Shift Pattern: Full time/Temporary, 37 hours

To ensure Depot Security is maintained at all times, the yard is safe , vehicles and plant are properly parked and ...

Areas of responsibility:

Security Guard - Monitor vehicles / employees / visitors / public entering and leaving the depot and petrol area. To undertake security checks, monitor CCTV, opening and closing the depot and buildings within the depot. To keep the Depot safe / clean and to undertake minor maintenance.

• To patrol Telford Depot, to regulate vehicle parking, ensure storage areas are in order, safe and to ensure security

• All areas to be kept free from weeds, debris litter and rubbish.
• To undertake Legionella’s checking / recording as per the Councils Policy
• To assist in the depot emergency evacuation plan
• To report and investigate any suspicious acts by staff on site and report all such issues to line management
• Take deliveries of fuel ensuring all safety procedures are complied with
