Section Engineer

We’re looking for a Section Engineer to join our major project team at Hinkley Point C based in Bridgwater, Somerset.


Location: Somerset, Bridgwater

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - can offer some working from home and/or flexible start and end working times if desired, just let us know.


What will you be responsible for?

As Section Engineer you’ll be working within the Roads and Networks team, supporting them by planning and providing engineering controls, supervising production resources and ensuring compliance with the project and company systems for a defined section of the works.

Your day to day will include:

  • Understand and interpret drawings and specifications, ensuring delivery on site
  • Ensure compliance to Health and Safety at all stages within the project
  • Produce accurate As Built records in compliance with the agreed quality systems
  • Manage resources in accordance with budgets and delivery constraints
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship between workforce, blackhats and engineers

What are we looking for?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

  • Relevant experience in general civil engineering including setting out of the works. Experience with concrete structures be beneficial but not essential
  • CSCS Card
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • Degree in civil engineering/HNC or equivalent in civil engineering as a minimum
