Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN across the Secondary School classrooms – KS3-KS4
  • Assist students with moderate-severe SEN (ASD, Speech & Language Delay, ADHD, Dyslexia)
  • Engage students through creative and artistic methods
  • Conduct small group and 1:1 work

About The SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Art, Drama, or Musical Theatre background – Related degree ideally, but not essential
  • Ideal: previous experience of interacting with people of any age with additional learning needs
  • Enthusiastic and confident personality
  • Will need to have excellent spoken and written English as well as a good grasp of GCSE Mathematics
  • Creative and innovative thinker, capable of designing fun activities
  • Genuine passion for SEN
  • An ideal paid experience opportunity ahead of a Master’s Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
