An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Screening Manager /Clinical Skills Trainer to lead the AAA screening programme

You will will work with the existing team to undertake the key role in directing the day-to-day operational management of the local programme. You will oversee the work of the Clinical Administration Lead, Administration and Screening team. Duties will include: locating suitable screening sites; answering queries from clinicians, screening staff, patients, members of the public and other interested parties; processing, tabulating, recording and storing data associated with screening, treatment and deaths, and producing reports; monitoring fail-safe systems; monitoring and reporting any serious adverse events and taking steps to ensure the safety of staff and patients; authorising expenditure up to specified limits and checking budget statements; reasonable for screening technician training, supervision and quality assurance; ensure ultrasound scanning is performed to a high standard and in accordance with NAAASP policies and standard operating procedures.

The post holder has considerable freedom to act in respect of managing the programme locally and will work independently and lead on a number of initiatives supporting the AAA screening programme, including giving direction and support to clinical research, promoting the benefits of the programme and seeking future funding opportunities. Work as a highly experienced autonomous practitioner carrying out ultrasound techniques with broad clinical and professional guidelines and standard operating procedures.

This is a 22.5 hours per week post.
