We are seeking to appoint a full-time Science Technician to join a collaborative and successful team of A-Level subject-specialists within the Sixth Form based at our Bede Campus. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate engaging and innovative planning of and assistance with curriculum-based Science practicals, to ensure positive outcomes for learners. A high focus on ongoing evaluation and reflection, to ensure outstanding lab-practical advancements within the Sixth Form, is essential.

This position requires versatility and adaptability, as well as the essential support for both teaching staff and students in lab-practicals. You must have a commitment to technician-specific upskilling, professional development, and to collaborate with schools, HE institutions, as well as with industry.

Candidates should possess a relevant qualification, in (or closely relating to) a scientific field, and be able to showcase experience of being a well-organised, objective and highly achieving lab-technician with an essential-eye for health and safety protocols within a school, FE, HE or industrial setting.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate in their personal statement practical examples of how you fulfil the person specification.
