Due to recent expansion and increasing workload we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Technician to join our team. Whilst previous experience of working in a laboratory environment would be advantageous, previous experience is not essential – we will provide all of the training necessary.

The position is based in our Laboratory sample reception area, working at our Leicester City centre laboratories.

Nicholls Colton, a part of the CTS Group, is a thriving business providing specialist testing and consultancy services to the construction industry. Now celebrating over 50 years in business, we are busier than ever, and looking for additional staff throughout the Company.

Technician duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of soil, water and construction material samples ready for physical and chemical analysis
  • Booking samples into CTSi and LIMs system and ordering testing
  • Ensuring that adequate and proper records are kept and filed correctly
  • Ensuring test equipment is checked, cleaned, calibrated and suitable for use

Technician Role Requirements:

  • Good oral, written and numeracy skills
  • Computer literate
  • Previous sample reception / stores experience would be advantageous
  • Driving licence would be advantageous

Salary: £19,968.00 pa
