Salvage Parts Executive (Parts Advisor)

Full Time – Permanent

Salary: Up to £25,750

Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00

Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire

Overview

As a Salvage Parts Executive (Parts Advisor), you will be working within a small, close knit team where you will be involved with many responsibilities that will vary day to day.

From photographing and listing parts, processing orders, to giving out customer advice and everything in between; you will be responding to online messages, calls over the phone, and via email, giving out useful advice and help to anyone that needs to find out more about the products.

You will help to manage our customer base and will develop relationships to ensure that you are the go-to person whenever they need it!

You will manage and process all tasks and associated paperwork correctly and in a timely fashion.

Being able to work well as part of a small successful team is key, as is the enthusiasm and ambition to learn and develop.

To succeed in this Salvage Parts Executive role, you will need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisation skills and be able to provide outstanding customer service.

You will be dealing with customers online, over the phone and in person, as well as working with the rest of the Salvage Team and workshop team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receiving parts
  • Photographing and listing parts
  • Selling parts
  • Packaging parts for distribution
  • Communicating with customers
  • Working with other teams
  • Maintaining a strict, clean, tidy parts department
  • Maintain and control the secure check-in and issue of parts and ensure the accurate recording of all items.
  • Manage customer enquires swiftly, courteously, and efficiently, ensuring the highest standard of customer care and satisfaction.
  • Undertake to actively increase business of parts sales wherever possible.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested.

Skills & Experience:

  • An experienced Parts Advisor with previous working experience in a busy Parts Department.
  • Experience in a customer facing role with Outstanding Customer Service
  • A strong Communicator who is used to dealing with the General Public.
  • A background in, or knowledge of automotive parts and in particular, Motorcycle parts, is preferred.
  • Able to work to sales targets.
  • IT literate – Competent/ ability to learn on computer-based systems - Excel and eBay knowledge preferable.
  • Communicate clearly & concisely, written or verbally at all levels with internal & external customers.
  • An eye for detail with great organisation skills
  • Flexible in your approach to the role.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent team player but also the ability to work under own supervision.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • A high level of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Observe health and safety and COSHH regulations at all times.
